Unfortunately, that's not true, Wallaby. I am sad to say that i do know more about the original BioShock than a person who's never played it and only played Infinite.
It's what i meant about the game having made it into pop culture. So when you see that there's an almost immediate reference in the opening to something i know second-hand happens in the end, it's hard to take things at face value. I wish that wasn't the case but it is.
Regardless, i'm not letting that limit my enjoyment of the game, nor has it been spoiled for me so fully that i don't have to connect the dots; I do. I'm just a little more conscious of the clues because i know that they're there where a first-time player of BioShock who was blissfully ignorant would have no reason to look twice at them.
