The three of us have been gamers for over 25 years. Now in our 30s, we tend to email each other from work on a daily basis to discuss certain games we are playing, or the next games we plan on playing. This blog is an attempt at a gaming club, much like a book club, where we set a couple of chapters to play over the course of a week before discussing those chapters on this blog.
Whether it's level design, artistic direction, control schemes or immersion, there is a lot that can be said about video games nowadays. We hope we to dig deep into certain games, selected on a rotation, and [ah fuck it I've lost interest in this intro]
Wallaby - a gamer since 1988, Wallaby has played and loved nearly every single video game console since he was old enough to pick up a controller. Although he enjoys most gaming genres, he has a soft spot in his heart for RPGs (particularly those of the Japanese persuasion), platformers and fighting games.
Favourite games of all time: Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 9, Super Mario Bros 3
Favourite games from the last generation: The Last of Us, Valkyria Chronicles, Deus Ex: Human Revolution
HotFuj - I am terrible at most games, but I end up buying a lot of them since I like opening the packages. Did any of you guys use to draw up pretend Mega Man levels? I am particularly a fan of story-based games. Yes, Roger Ebert (RIP), games can be art.
I scream when I'm scared and when I throw up.
Joker - Most of my electric bill goes towards video games. I'm totally ok with that.
