Warble warble, The Last of Us, warble warble, Joel and Ellie, warble warble, DLC.
Ok, ok, i know the answer to Mr. Ford's question is "Everyone but me" but, really? in the midst of a console launch they dropped this little nugget?
Anyway, I guess my question to you guys would be, is there a way to approach DLC for TLOU that would make you happy or satisfy you within the context of the story? Should they have avoided Joel and Ellie entirely and maybe focused on Joel's brother setting up fort? I find that, too often, DLC insists on overreaching with existing characters when it should only be capitalizing on the world that the original game created. I think GTAIV nailed it with The Lost and the Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony. They took two fringe characters introduced in the main story and spun them off. The gameplay didn't change much, the world didn't change at all, Niko's story was left undisturbed and gamers got new adventures in a world they loved. So much win with that strategy.
Anyway, back to Rapture. I'm playing to the checkpoint tonight, will get my post up after. I've been drowning in the console launches since Sunday and i'm sick to boot. This week has been exhausting and there's one more week to go. TGIMFF.
