That's a good point, picking up "pigeons" or really anything in an open-world environment also doesn't interest me in the least.
Castelvania: SOTN is probably the greatest game in my lifetime, and the one game I played the absolute bejeezsus out of. That whole game felt like a collectible in my life.

Welcome to Rapture: Collectibles
So in starting off Bioshock, I somehow missed two early audio-tapes. I wondered, what games did you ever seriously care about the collectibles? For me, Tomb Raider (the OG), the collectibles were sooo addictive. Recently, Last of Us (sorry Joker), new Tomb Raider and Batman: Arkham Asylum both really made me want to find every little thing.
I really want to start doing this for Bioshock, but going back and re-starting is way too annoying. What do you guys think about collectibles in games? Worth it, do you care? Does it make you go back to games?
